My dude doesn’t know what he wants

Every holiday, it’s the same struggle with my husband of 25 years: What is the best gift for him this Christmas??

I listen for clues throughout the year, trying to figure out what he wants but doesn’t want to tell me, and like a stealthy Santa Claus, I make a list in my head of what might make him happy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

I’ve bought him gift cards that sit in a drawer for years at a time, musical instruments that only accumulate dust, and even adult LEGO sets so he has his own toys to play with, but even those sit unboxed.
